Homework for 12/17

This is the last assignment for the year! So, please do your best! For this week, please do the following:

1) Add an introduction to your body paragraphs. The introduction should have a) a hook, b) background information, and c) a thesis statement

2) Add a conclusion. The conclusion should effectively restate the thesis statement and summarize the essay.

This is your last writing assignment for the year! Therefore, I would really like to see you do your best. If you have questions or you aren't sure what to do, PLEASE ASK me or your classmates. For this week, you need to:

1) Write three body paragraphs which include the topic, description, and significance.

OK, we are now heading toward a multiple paragraph "Essay". In order to prepare, we need to write an outline. Please do the following for next week:

1) choose a ceremony to write about

2) write an outline for a 5 paragraph essay (example here)

3) write comments on your classmates' blog about "Holidays"

Homework for 11/26

Congratulations on completing your first short essay! You have all been working really hard and I'm very proud of your progress. Keep up the good work.

For next week, please do the following:

1) Write about your favorite holiday of the year. For example, you could write about Halloween or Tanabata.

2) Please make comments on your classmates' blog from last week about "University Festival"

3) Please continue English Central. Some people aren't doing it every week and are losing points. Don't give up now!
