Summer trips!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your looooong summer break! I had an incredible experience in the Philippines and then went to Hokkaido for a few weeks. It was really nice and cool in Hokkaido and now I'm back in this terrible Kansai heat!

Anyway, starting next week, I'll be in my office on the 2nd floor of G-gokan. Please stop by if you want to chat or say hello!

End of the Semester!

Congratulations! You have finished your first semester of English Writing! I'm very proud of all of you and think every one of you have developed as writers. Before we part for the summer, I would like you to do the following things:

1) Please take this survey and answer all the questions honestly. Password: kgblog

2) I would like to know what you (honestly) thought about this course and would like you to tell me some of your thoughts about it so I can think about making changes for next semester. Please answer the following questions in a blog post titled "Spring Semester Evaluation":

a) What did you learn in this course?
b) How was the level of this course?
c) What did you like most about this course?
d) What did you NOT like about this course?
e) What kind of changes or improvements would you like to see next semester?

Ok, last week and then we can have some summer break! But before we do that, please do the following for next week's class:

1) Write your 2nd draft of the personal narrative
2) Write a blog entry about your "Summer Vacation" plans
3) Review for the Chapter 5 quiz

Just work hard for one more week and then we are finished and you can relax more!

2) Make 4 comments on your classmates' blog about "future accomplishments"

Homework for 6/18

Thank you for your hard work. I think everyone is improving as English writers. For this week, I would like you to do the following:

1) Write a blog post about what you would like to accomplish in the future. Think about things you want to learn or do, places you want to go, jobs you want to have, competitions you want to win, etc.

Keep studying hard, but try to enjoy yourself sometimes!

Homework for 6/11

Don't worry about the blogs this week. If you want to write a blog post, that's OK too, but it is not required. Instead, I would like you to focus on the following:

1) Write your Experience/Accomplishment paragraph

2) Complete pp. 73-75 in your textbook
